Physiotherapy is a sub-specialty of rehabilitation that specializes in recovery from movement dysfunction caused by injury, trauma or repetitive microtrauma, prolonged positioning among others. Treatment is directed at amelioration of dysfunction to recover symptom free movements.

Joint mobilization and manipulation, is a form of hands-on treatment where a physiotherapist carefully moves the tissues and joints of the body to restore movement and relieve pain.

 

Dry needling using acupuncture points to reduce symptoms and improve muscle function.

Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (SWT) is a modality used for the treatment of a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, primarily applied to chronic conditions, particularly those affecting medium to large sized tendons and their insertions on bone.

Strength and Conditioning (S&C) is the selection and development of dynamic /static exercises used to improve physical performance.

Vestibular rehabilitation therapy (VRT) is an exercise-based treatment program designed to promote vestibular adaptation and substitution. The goals of VRT are 1) to enhance gaze stability, 2) to enhance postural stability, 3) to improve vertigo, and 4) to improve activities of daily living.

History and Assessment

Andrew will perform a detailed assessment to determine the nature of your problem including how it affects your life. Andrew looks at the body as a whole to get back to what to daily life and what you love to do.

Individualized Treatment

After a thorough examination Andrew will use a creative array of interventions including hands on techniques, exercise and modalities to reduce symptoms and improve movement and function.

Education

Education is an integral part of the recovery process. Andrew wants you to be in control of your injury, empowered to make the right treatment choices for yourself This will make the recovery process as stress free as possible and prevent recurrence.
